📝 Selection Process
The selection process involves shortlisting candidates based on valid GATE 2024/2025/2026 scores (1:12 ratio) for a Personal Interview.
Final selection is based solely on performance in the Personal Interview and medical fitness.
Qualifying marks for the interview are 70% for Unreserved candidates and 60% for EWS/SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD candidates.
In case of a tie in interview marks, a higher GATE score is preferred; if both are equal, the older candidate is ranked higher.
📖 Exam Pattern & Syllabus
Candidates are shortlisted for Personal Interview based on valid GATE 2024, 2025, or 2026 scores in a 1:12 ratio.
Equal weightage is given to GATE scores from these years for shortlisting.
No weightage is given to GATE scores during final selection.
💸 Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/- is applicable only for Male applicants belonging to General (UR), EWS, and OBC categories.
Female applicants, SC/ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, Dependents of Defence Personnel Killed in Action (DODPKIA), and NPCIL employees are exempted from fee payment.

Eligible and interested Indian Nationals must apply online through the dedicated web portal www.npcilcareers.co.in.
Online registration starts on 10/04/2026 (1000 Hrs) and closes on 30/04/2026 (1600 Hrs).
Applicants must use their GATE 2024/2025/2026 registration number.
The application process involves multiple steps: registration, account activation, filling in educational qualifications, work experience, personal details, interview city preference, reactor stream choice (if applicable), uploading scanned photograph (JPEG, 10-50KB) and signature (JPEG, 80x100 pixels to 20KB), and finally submitting the application.
A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/- is required for General/EWS/OBC male candidates, payable online.
No changes are allowed after final submission of the application.
