📝 Selection Process

• For Scientist-B & Scientific Officer/Engineer-SB Posts: Selection will be done through a written examination and interview.

• Only shortlisted candidates who qualify the written examination will be called for interview.

• The final selection will be based on the combined performance of the candidates in the written examination and interview, with a weightage ratio of 85:15 respectively.

• It is mandatory to appear in the interview for selection.

• Document verification will be done at the time of the interview.

• For Scientific/Technical Assistant-A Post: Selection will be done only through a written examination.

• The final selection will be based on the merit position arrived from the performance of the candidates in the written examination.

• Document verification will be done before joining.

📖 Exam Pattern & Syllabus

• The written examination will be in ONLINE mode, consisting of 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be answered in a maximum time of 3 hours.

• The medium of examination shall be English only.

• The question paper will consist of 65% questions from Technical Area and 35% questions from Generic Area.

• Every question will carry 1 mark, and there will be negative marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer.

• The minimum percentage to qualify the written examination will be 50% for General/EWS, 40% for OBC, 30% for SC/ST/PWD categories, applicable in the overall marks as well as for each section separately.

💸 Application Fee

• SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates: Nil.

• General and all others: Rs.800/- per application per post (including taxes).

🚀 How to Apply

• Candidates are requested to apply only by ONLINE at https://www.calicut.nielit.in/nic23 between 04/03/2023 (10:00 a.m) and 04/04/2023 (5:30 p.m).

• No other means/mode of application will be accepted.

• Candidates must submit only one application against each post.

• The application process involves three steps: 1) Registration with Email id, 2) Submission of Application details, and 3) Payment of application fee online (if applicable).

• The application is treated as complete only if all three mandatory steps are successfully completed.

• Candidates should keep handy: Credit Card/Debit card/Net banking details (if fee is applicable), scanned image of Photograph along with signature (JPEG/JPG format, size less than 50 KB), and scanned copies of Essential Educational Qualification (Matriculation, Higher Secondary, Degree, consolidated marks-list, date of birth certificate, category certificate, experience certificate, NOC) in a single PDF format (size less than 3 MB).
