๐ Selection Process
Selection of recruits is based on the order of merit determined by their performance in the Music Ability Test.
Candidates will be shortlisted for the recruitment process based on marks obtained in the matriculation examination and possession of valid music certificates.
The recruitment process comprises a Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Written Examination, Music Ability Test, and Recruitment Medical Examination.
Those who qualify the PFT, Written Examination, and Music Ability Test will undergo a Recruitment Medical Examination.
The final merit list will be compiled on an all-India basis, based on performance in the Music Ability Test, for candidates who qualify PFT, Written Exam, and Recruitment Medical Examination.
๐ Exam Pattern & Syllabus
The written examination will be an offline test consisting of 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark.
The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type.
It will comprise two sections: Science & Mathematics and General Awareness.
The standard of the question paper will be that of 10th.
The duration of the examination will be 30 Minutes.
Candidates are required to pass in both sections as well as in aggregate, with a minimum score of 13 marks out of 50 (>25%) to be selected for the Musical Ability Test.

Application fee of Rs 60 + GST for applying through Common Service Centres (CSC).

Candidates can apply ONLINE ONLY on the Indian Navy official website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in from 11 to 26 Apr 2026.

Candidates are advised to fill up correct details and carry out any updates or corrections before the last date of submission.
Applications may be uploaded from Common Service Centres (CSC) across the country for a fee of Rs 60 + GST, which is an optional facility.
A recent passport size colour photograph (taken not before Mar 2026) of size 10 KB to 50 KB is required.
The photograph should be a front portrait in a light background without headgear (except for Sikhs), with the candidate holding a black slate in front of their chest, clearly writing their name and date of photograph taken with white chalk in capital letters.
